This week, let’s talk numbers. Would you rather get 75 percent of what you’re going for, or take a 67 percent chance that you’ll get nothing that you’re going for? 75 percent of what you’re going for or a 67 percent chance of getting nothing?

Two thirds of change efforts fail…leaders come up with basically nothing. By asking people for their ideas and truly listening, we might get 75 percent of what we’re going for. But once it’s THEIR idea, it’s THEIR change, too. We have them on our side, rather than pushing back, like with all those FAILED changes.
