Who's the Boss

Who’s the boss?

Who’s the boss? As kids, we learn that the boss is the person in charge…our parents, our teachers telling us what to do.

But now that we’re all grown up, I’ll let you in on a secret: social science teaches us that the more pressure we place on people to do something, the less likely they are to believe in what we’re pressuring them to do.

If we’re leading people through an initiative, they need to believe in it…or they won’t change. So—we may be the boss—but we can’t force a change…we need to lead the change.
