SMART is smart

SMART…it’s the gold standard for goals during a change.

SMART stands for specific, measurable, achievable, relevant and timebound. Except, as I had to learn the hard way, SMART doesn’t stand alone.

Change is a decision. Neuroscience tells us that people need both reason and emotion to make any decision. So SMART needs HEART. Turns out, SMART without heart is a non-start.
